I recently had the good fortune to exchange emails with Jacquie Dearborn.  She wrote an article about her husband Dave Dearborn’s 1909 Jackson and I’m hoping to publish it on this site.  I asked her about the early years of the club.  I’d like to know how this all got started.

She told me the club had eight original members.  They drew numbers to see what their membership number would be.  David Dearborn drew number one.  Did they choose him for their first president?  Carlton Ekdahl was in the founding group too.  If you know him, please tell him I’d like to chat with him if he’s willing to share his remembrances of the early days.
